Read the names of individuals, see how they connect, who they are associated with and how. That is the reality. The fact of who is who and what they are doing in the context of American policy and governance is the reality I hope to shed light on.
I am going to offer you a link that shows something I find pretty frightening. The same Christian Fundamentalists that have made huge inroads to the governance of America, HUGE if you consider what a small percentage of Amercans they represent - are involved with Rev. Moon.
Now this link speaks about the concept of "New World Order" and the like. It is pretty way deep into a "conspiracy" view of realpolitic as practiced today; something well beyond the old model of Nationalism -something more current, akin to Corporatism, a manner of governance that is without boundries. It is global in influence. I offer you the link to show you the web of neoconservative influence- it is about more than religion and nation, that tired old dog and pony show that gets troted out on the nightly news. It is about power.
There is no "Conspiracy". Power is wielded through force, economic influence and the ability to influence thought. Please give the article a chance, it is in two parts; forget the mention of the Trilateral Commision, the Bilderburg group, Freemasons. Think of people associating to further the ends of personal and group power. Look at it as team play.
Tell me what you think...

Please take a moment to read this account of how the extreme right has gone from the lunatic fringe to acceptable and mainstream.
Go here to look at just how "inbred" the Neoconservative movement is. A few people taking a lot of money from a few people, setting policy for America. This website is a very interesting resource. Take the Coors Beer Family for instance. Coor's money has promoted their skewed vision America pretty effectively.
Some Homework: Take some of the names of Neocons listed above and do a google search, but add in the terms: Moon, Nazi, Christian Coalition and the like. Be creative.
Let People for the American Way fill you in.

As things heat up in North Korea I thought I'd offer you some Reverend Moon links dealing with Bush, Rumsfeld and North Korea.
Okee Dokee, it seems that Mr Bush has tapped Josette Shiner to be Deputy of US Trade. Ms Shiner has been a long time follower of Rev Moon of the infamous Unification Church. You may remember him as the second coming of Jesus; or more familiarly the guy those misguided folks sell flowers at the airport for. I'll give you a great link to Cult News that touches on what could be construed as payback to the good Reverend for his lifelong support of the Bush family; a subject that I touched on in horrified amazement a couple months ago.
Now this is America, you can follow any belief system you please. The thing is the area of trade that makes up her purview includes areas the Mr Moon has financial interests in:
Rev. Moon has very substantial business interests in Asia, which includes North Korea, South Korea and China. The Cult News link and the link I offer are full of information you can explore dealing with a most curious phenomenon. A world leader who claims to read the Christian Bible, daily, who speaks in terms of God also has a history of family and financial ties to a man claiming to be God.
Only in America.
Here, have a taste of Moonism:
New York, New York January 2, 1996
On the day after the 29th True God's Day, Dr. Pak speaks at an International Leadership Conference. Following Father's instructions, he recounts a detailed report of his year in Japan as a missionary, including his Day of Hope tour and the historical five-city tour of True Mother and President and Mrs. Bush.
On a bit further I was to take a flight on January 3 at 9:00 a.m. That night Father called me from Korea. Father's voice was very wonderful; I was so glad to hear Father at the beginning of the year. Father asked me, "Bo Hi, have you packed?" "Yes, sir. I'm all packed and ready to go tomorrow morning at 9:00." Then Father said, "Bo Hi, you have no place to go; you are homeless now. You stay in Japan and make your home in Japan." I virtually fainted, because it was totally unexpected. I unpacked, of course.
On a bit further After I was ordered to stay in Japan as a missionary, I studied Japan. Japan, as you know, is the Eve nation, while Korea is the Adam nation. Korea is the Fatherland of our faith, and the Adam nation needs the Eve nation as the mother nation. Father chose Japan to be the mother nation, the Eve nation. Japan's role is to become the mother of the world, and today Japan is doing that. To make this happen, Father has given his entire heart, energy, and love for Japan.
and then The success of the Korean-Japanese sisterhood conferences is being expanded through the sisterhood conferences between American and Japanese women. The United States is a difficult country for mission work. They never really opened up their hearts to Father. Americans never accepted him from the bottom of their hearts. Americans are arrogant and rational and very proud, and they consider the Unification Church an Oriental religion. It has never really been accepted by high-level people, the movers and shakers of this country. Young people, yes. College students, yes.
Nora Spurgin told me that Father's sisterhood conferences have completely overwhelmed the American leading classes, including the president, congressmen, senators, future presidents, ministers, educators, you name it.
going on to say The United States is the only superpower under the sun now. No longer are there dual superpowers. There is one superpower, the United States of America. The leaders of the United States have been mobilized; it is an incredible success.
The American women shed tears from the heart. This is the first time they learned how to cry. Yes, they didn't know they had tears. This time they realized they had tears. They poured out their hearts.
For the first time since Father came to America, he is moving and shaking the entire country through two major forces: one is the Women's Federation, through the sisterhood conferences, and the other is the Washington Times. These are the victories of our True Parents. These are the two victories in America to remember on this, the 29th True God's Day.
Finally Mother Was Number One
Last fall Father organized Mother's tour of Japan accompanied by Barbara and George Bush. Can you imagine a U.S. president, whether an incumbent or a former president, doing anything in a secondary position? They are always number one. A U.S. president is always number one. But this time who was number one? Mother was number one. Their respect for Mother and Father was incredible.
The Japanese people could not believe such a thing was happening. Why? Japan is probably the number two country in the entire world. (Actually, I think Japan is number one, but I am a little prejudiced in favor of Japan.) They are a superpower in a real sense. In economic and military power, the U.S. is number one, but in people power and money power, Japan is number one. The United States today is about to face bankruptcy. The U.S. government has so much debt, while Japan has so much savings. All the savings accounts in the world cannot compare with the Japanese savings. It's like a drop in the bucket compared to Japan. The real power is Japan.
The Japanese people are proud of their accomplishments. They are afraid of nothing. They are not going to bow down to anybody, except one country, the United States, because for 50 years Japan has come under the U.S. defense program, the nuclear umbrella. The United States has protected Japan for 50 years, during which time they built up their economy. Japan knows that the United States is the one country they have to watch out for. This is why Japan respects the United States.
The Japanese also respect anybody with a big nose and blue eyes who speaks perfect English. This is where the Japanese have somewhat of an inferiority complex. In language, English is number one for them.
The U.S. president, therefore, is like the king of the world. The king of the world comes with Mrs. Moon? Impossible, they thought. This must be some kind of trick. When 50,000 people gathered in the Tokyo Dome and the program announced George and Barbara Bush, there were hundreds of people from the media outside and inside. Their palms were sweating as they wondered: Has George Bush really come? There must be some kind of trick. There will probably be a message on the video screen saying, "I'm sorry I couldn't be there in person, but I am there on video."
When George Bush's name was announced, there was wonderful applause. The media said, "No, no. It couldn't be true. It's too good to be true." When George and Barbara Bush, smiling from ear to ear, showed up on the stage, everybody was dumbfounded. They thought it must be a phantom, or maybe somebody put makeup on to look like George and Barbara Bush. They still didn't want to believe it.
Then George and Barbara Bush spoke, supporting Mother's idea for true family and world peace. The audience could not deny that they were George and Barbara Bush. They then thought, "Oh, the Bushes must have been deceived." The opposition was incredible. In the middle of the tour, people wanted to hear George and Barbara Bush say, "Well, we've been tricked. Now we are packing up and going home." They were waiting for that news.
Never in history has a U.S. president traveled to more than two cities in Japan. This time George and Barbara Bush traveled to five cities. No U.S. president has ever set foot on the island of Hokkaido. George and Barbara Bush went to Hokkaido. The citizens of Hokkaido bowed down to Father and Mother, because Father and Mother brought an American president to Hokkaido, the northern island. No president of the United States ever went to Kyushu, the southern island. Then George and Barbara Bush went to Fukuoka, the capital of Kyushu. The people of Kyushu were flabbergasted at Father and Mother's power to tell a U.S. president what to do and plan his schedule. Incredible. This completely changed the attitude of the Japanese government and media toward the Unification community. From 1988Finally, all the regional directors, when you report to Father and Mother, you are right. Absolutely Heavenly Father and True Parents made the difference for victory. Jim, I would like you to take this chart with you and add something to it. This shows that without our help George Bush could not win. Those states with close votes, about 10 of them, could have gone the other way. Those 168 electoral votes could have gone to Dukakis without us. If Michael Dukakis got those 168 votes in addition to the 112, he would have gotten 280 votes, more than the 270 he would have needed. That means victory would have gone to Dukakis. This is the kind of thing that really shows we are making a difference. Not just a loud voice, but substantial results.
But I want you to know, as many of you already said, it is God and True Parents who made this victory this year. Father said, behind every bush is a Moonie. Father also said a bush has no trunk. George Bush is all bushes. We are the trunk, Father said. It is another way of explaining how Father's incredible mind is working. Bush has to be molded into a trunk. If he stays a simple bush, he has no power, no energy. In any case, you regional directors, everybody, report in my tradition: give all the glory, all the commitment to the True Parents, period. Because that is what brought the victory. Begin with the glory of True Parents, and close with the victory of True Parents. That is the way you report. Attribute everything to the True Parents.
Well, what I just read seems to state that "God" is on Poppy Bush's side, Mrs God as well; Juniors too do you think?
A bit of Moonie theology, stuff with a nasty anti-Jewish tinge.:
Instead of attacking Jesus directly, Satan interfered with Jesus' mission using an indirect method; he utilized the fallen nature of the Israelites in leading them to betray Jesus. Instead of being able to save all of mankind, Jesus had to be crucified on the cross.
further on:
Therefore, it wasn't Jesus but the Israelites and mankind who should have been crucified. The sinless Messiah was crushed at the hands of Satan.
and finally It was only because of the betrayal by the Israelites that Christianity had to be established. Now the Divine Principle is God's understanding of the life and death of Jesus. Because of fallen nature and sin, even theologians couldn't understand the broken heart of Jesus and just asked to be given salvation; this is asking for self-centered salvation. Now the time has come to repay Jesus' resentment. Now our Father has come and we are obeying Father as indemnity for the Israelites. By doing this, the mission of Jesus will be fulfilled on the earth. As if we don't have enough to worry about in these troubled times. Mr Moon, "the Father" is pals with the Bushs and has their support on the world stage. Not simply loopy, the man seems pretty scary-people actually adhere to his beliefs, his claim to divinity.

Fundamentalist are idiots. Yup, I'll go out on a limb and paint them all with one brush; I'm guessing that the very title "Fundamentalist" covers a bunch of attributes that preclude folks that it accurately applies to from mixing in common decent society. If I'm wrong please write me with your perspective; I will appreciate another point of view. In a world composed of many people from many cultures I'm guessing that "Fundamentalists" would not have a live and let live perspective. That their version of "Love" may not extend to those with different belief systems. That perhaps their religious point of view would see folks that had a different perspective as "lesser" than them. That their beliefs may be used to posit in "in " group and an "out" group. That through Fundamentalist eyes differences would not be seen as enriching the world we live in but as a reason to hate.
It is well too easy to use hate as an organizing principle. Especially when people are unsure, when times are economically hard do they welcome hate as a way to externalize anxiety- boom, life is simplified. A clear "in" group to feel good about, to support, to lionize- to feel a part of. A clear "out" group that pulls you together, affords focus, while filling the consciousness with 'righteous' anger. And one forgets the "stuff" at home that needs work. The cognitive dissonance of life in an American society that just doesn't work for the majority of us, that has as its very design now a radically unAmerican slant toward corporations and the rich while the needs and aspirations of "We the People" are consigned to a place labeled "special interest". Where all we are taught to believe about is erased in a flood of greed and what now is termed "patriotism" - mindless rage and nationalistic blood lust akin to rooting for a sports team. Add in Fundamentalism to give an air of sanctity to the rotten mix.
Like children with abusive parents, many of us gather around the offenders refusing to believe the painful writing on the wall. A populace too busy to look into the 'news' and too lied to by the corporate owned media to form an accurate worldview; sensing it has no secure place to turn suddenly quails and bows its' head, fearfully surrendering its' authority. A presidential pretender, a man put into the position of "leader of the free world" totally outside the democratic process, by a Supreme Court split down idealogical lines, who said he would be a uniter, has been a partisan politician of the worst sort. Civil rights, the environment, jobs, health and safety issues- benefits to the very Veterans led to risk life and limb in an illegal war and occupation, along with our nations' economy, sacrificed for the benefit of the richest Americans. For corporate campaign contributors. Pandering to moneyed interests and a minority of people interested in an American Empire he has besmirched all that America is about, all that we as Americans hold dear and with pride as our identity and Constitutional heritage on the world stage.
I am concerned that this occupation will put us in the same mental and moral place as the people of Israel. Please read "The Israelization of America" by James Brooks. There is a large and vibrant Peace and Social justice movement in Israel that we in the US don't hear about. Much like the Christian folks here in America that strive to live up to the teachings attributed to Jesus Christ a controlled media in Israel as well drowns out the voices of people adhering to the beautiful tenets of Judaism.
You've probably already noted that the unifying principle of all the worlds' great religions is Love. Love that recognizes "People are People" "Do not unto others what you do not want to have done unto you, this is the essence, -- now, go, study the rest."
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you I wish I was more conversant with the Koran so I could quote from it to you.
And that is only touching on some monotheistic faiths that have a common locale of genesis in the Middle East. These faiths teach of brotherhood/sisterhood, of the value of life and community. Before they got all dogmatic they were a part of the weave of daily life- a way of being as opposed to a creed enforced by a male hierarchy. They offered people ideals of decency and cooperation, reminding us all what it is to be truly human as we move through our common existence. That we are brothers and sisters in the face of the unknown, striving to find meaning and joy in our struggles of being. And for many folks they still do.
Just not to Fundamentalists of any stripe.

"You're either with us or against us in the fight against terror."
George Bush 11.6.01 So it is only fair to ask just where former Secretary of State James Baker III stands; he has been retained by the Saudi's in a trillion dollar lawsuit brought by many victims of the 9/11 tragedy:But legal sources say some high-priced firms and their senior partners have been wary of the Saudi overtures—despite offers of retainers that, in some cases, have ranged as high as $5 million. One former Clinton administration official at a big law firm said he was personally approached to represent a high-ranking Saudi prince in the case but turned it down. “I kept asking myself, ‘do I want to be representing the Saudis against the 9-11 families—especially after all the trouble we had getting cooperation from the Saudis on terrorism’,” the official said. “I finally just said no.” We know Baker has another Saudi/Binladin connection. He, like the current man in the Whitehouse's father George H.W Bush are part of the mammoth Carlyle Group. The Carlyle group is something you really should know about, the names and connections form an intricate web of "Who's Who" in international government and industry. You'll never hear this stuff on the evening news because it is too complex; not to mention learning about this type of mega-influence would give you a clear perspective on just what is happening in our world and to our nation.
How connected is the Carlyle group?:
We're not," he nearly shouts, "that well connected!"
Behind him is a picture of Rubenstein on a plane with then-Gov. George W. Bush. Across the room, a photo of Rubenstein with the president's father and mother. Next to that, Rubenstein and Mikhail Gorbachev. Elsewhere: Rubenstein and Jimmy Carter. On a bookshelf: Rubenstein and the pope.
This is not some honor wall in Rubenstein's office on Pennsylvania Avenue, this is his wood-paneled den at home in Bethesda. The snapshots are nearly hidden among books and trinkets and family photos -- the decorating restraint of the truly, deeply connected.
Rubenstein, after all, is co-founder of the Carlyle Group, an investment house famous as one of the most well-connected companies anywhere. Further into the article:We've actually replaced the Trilateral Commission as the darling of conspiracy theorists, says Rubenstein -- who, truth be told, happens to be a member of the Trilateral Commission. The group met in Portugal earlier in the month to talk about rebuilding Iraq, and a billion dollar contract.
The Caryle Group (DemocracyNow! RealAudio link) comes up a lot, whether talking about a coincidental meeting with the Bin Ladin family as the 9/11 tragedy occured or North Korea. Go here for an extensive linkfest on The Carlyle Group.
Did you know since 1996 the majority of Defense corporation political contributions went to the Republicans?
Take a look at five companies who stand to make big money from an endless war. Look closely at who stand to make profit
"For love of money is the root of all evil"
Which brings us back to Baker supporting the Saudi's against the American people in a 9/11 case. What's with that? Granted, both sides in any case need quality representitives to further justice. But doesn't our ex-Secretary of State seem unseemly? O"Reilly, Limbaugh, Savage, step up to the plate, hows about some of that un-American name calling you guys are so fond of?
Why foot dragging and underfunding for a commision to investigate 9/11?
Officially named the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks in the United States, the panel was hamstrung from the beginning. President Bush opposed the commission's creation, and reversed his position only after a combination of political and public pressure was exerted.
Then the White House tapped the secretive former secretary of state, Henry Kissinger -- since resigned -- to chair the panel. And last year, Vice President Dick Cheney reportedly asked congressional leaders to limit the investigation. Fortunately for the public, they refused.
But money determines priorities in Washington. The slow progress of the investigation has been due in large measure to lack of funding. Since the White House lost the battle of wills in creating the panel and limiting its scope, it seems to have decided to starve the commission to death. The families of the victims as well as all Americans need to know just how this disaster came to occur, who was involved and why.
Representing a group called September 11 Advocates, Mindy Kleinberg, who lost her 39-year-old husband, Alan, in the World Trade Center, asked, “But where was our government, its agencies and institutions prior to and on the morning of September 11?” She went on to detail a long list of extraordinary security lapses, none of which have been satisfactorily explained.
She pointed to suspicious options trades the week before September 11, in which large investors bet on a short-term drop in the stock price of United and American Airlines. While both the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and US intelligence agencies maintain sophisticated systems to monitor unusual activities in markets worldwide, these extraordinary deals apparently provoked no alarm. She goes on to bring up:
She then held up copies of visa applications submitted by a number of the alleged hijackers. She pointed out that they were either incomplete or contained inappropriate answers, and noted that according to standard procedures they should have been automatically rejected. Next she reported that nine of the alleged hijackers were singled out for questioning as they purchased their tickets, but each was allowed to proceed, box cutters and all. As well as a very telling fact we have discussed here before; standard FAA procedure was not followed: Kleinberg also reviewed in detail the government’s failure to scramble fighter jets to intercept the hijackers. While the hijacking of American Airlines Flight 11 was known as of 8:20 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) failed to notify the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) for another 20 minutes, and an additional 12 minutes passed before the first jets took off. This extraordinary and unexplained lapse occurred despite the fact that NORAD was in the midst of its semi-annual exercises known as “Vigilant Guardian”, in which its forces are placed on the highest state of readiness.
Even after Flight 11 slammed into the North Tower at 8:46 a.m., the pattern of delay was repeated with the three other hijacked planes. American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon at 9:41 a.m., an hour and 21 minutes after the first hijacking was confirmed. Fighter jets finally went up to protect Washington DC, but they were sent not from Andrews Air Force Base, just outside the capital, but from Langley AFB in southern Virginia.
“On September 11 both the FAA and NORAD deviated from standard emergency operating procedures,” Kleinberg concluded. “Who were the people that delayed the notification? Have they been questioned?”
Something stinks.
Just like the idea that the UN Inspectors won't be looking for the weapons of mass destruction the US went to war to save us from.
It looks like the fix is in. Our government shaming America.

The Pope, on this day of celebrating the resurrection of the Prince of Peace, the renewal of our sense of His Spirit among us, clearly spoke out : "May God grant that we be free from the peril of a tragic clash between cultures and religions,'' John Paul said.
He also touched upon other conflicts, including Israeli-Palestinian fighting that is now in its 30th month. "(May there be) peace in other parts of the world, where forgotten wars and protracted hostilities are causing deaths and injuries amid silence and neglect on the part of considerable sectors of public opinion,'' he said. "With profound grief I think of the wake of violence and bloodshed, with no sign of ceasing, in the Holy Land,'' the pontiff said. The parents of slain peace activist Rachel Corrie spoke at a memorial service for their daughter; a mixture of grief and steadfast hope:"Rachel was taken from us by the kind of violence that she was working to stop in the Gaza Strip," Craig Corrie said. And further on:Cindy Corrie said her daughter did not die in vain. "We will do whatever we can to work for the world you envisioned," she said.
The passion we have for life, our philosophy of being, our core beliefs are demonstrated by our actions. What is being truly human if it is not in part an affirmation of the value of the life, a celebration of hope and love manifest as being in the face of utter meaninglessness. What we are is clearly demonstrated in the sum total of what we do, of our way in the world. Today people are celebrating the life of Christ if they claim Christianity as their religion. But being Christian is much larger than going to Church. Take a moment, ask yourself this: Who would Jesus bomb?
Captain Glenn Palmer, Chaplain for the Army 2nd Battalion 70th Armor unit is heading home from Iraq. He has left no explanation. It is said he will face no disciplinary action.
You don't need to be a theologian to know that the attack on Iraq was wrong and wrapping the illegal aggression in Christian terms reprehensible.
"Put your faith in Jesus Christ above your loyalty to your nation, because faith demands a higher loyalty, and patriotism today means dissent." And further down:
It is a sin of the highest order," he said. "Every death in this war is an unnecessary death, because the war is an unnecessary war. Every death in this war is unjustified, because the war is unjustified. Most troubling of all, every death in this war is criminal, because the war is a crime of aggression."
Hunsinger choked up as he referred to the deaths of several Iraqi civilians in recent days and said more than half the Iraqi population is under the age of 15.
"After Iraq, who is next?" he asked. "We are already hearing the drums of war getting noisier and louder. Do they mean Iran? Is the world once more entering into a series of permanent wars? Do we, as Christians, care about the social destruction and the loss of dear human life, which is always the expensive price of war?"
Sherman Alexie calls Mr Bush to task as a man who claims to act as a Christian:
So, my brother and sister Christians, what would Jesus do in a time of war? Be careful with your answer. It was Shakespeare, the public Protestant and private Catholic, who warned, "The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose." If the Scriptures are true in saying that "The love of money is the root of all evil" then we obviously have a government from Hell. Read this if you think I'm over-reacting. Follow the links offered.
Read "Spoils to the Victor". Halliburton- Cheney, Bechtel -Rumsfeld. Both companies big Republican donors. Read from this post up to todays at Arms and the Man.
Working towards a world where Jesus wouldn't weep if he stopped back by.
And all this coming from a panentheist dreaming a better world, just and sweet- just what our forefathers claimed for America.
We need to reclaim it; the dream, nuture it and further it.
Like the Shakers say "Many hands make work light".
