Bush: A Blind Man in a Room of Deaf Folks
Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill likened President Bush at Cabinet meetings to "a blind man in a room full of deaf people," according to excerpts Friday from a CBS interview. What more can I say...

Food for Thought
Two short Realaudio pieces that will lead you to think from "On the Media". The first a piece about Edward Bernays "the father of PR" (scroll to bottom of offered page). The second, Lawrence Lessig speaking of the very real possibility that the World Wide Web as we know it, a free medium for the dissemination of information could be at great risk. ( front and center piece).
If the Lessig interview has you alarmed you NEED to read "The Digital Imprimatur: How big brother and big media can put the Internet genie back in the bottle" By John Walker. It is lengthy but comprehensive.

Kucinich, Jesus, Anyone But Bush
If Jesus returned and ran for the Presidency would Pat Robertson and his ilk support God-as- mans campaign?
I got this link here, he also has a Christopher Lydon/Paul Krugman interview you should hear. I know the blogger to be sincere, if not I sure wouldn't link to him considering his tear down of Kucinich. You see, Kucinich held up a pie chart during a radio debate. When the NPR moderator laughed and another candidate said something about it, Dennis said "It is for you".
If Dean gets the nomination I'll line up, as I told the Dean canvassers in my neighborhood. Although I disagree with their choice I thanked them for doing the person-to-person work so crucial to "getting the word out, telling them it was really important. We parted company saying "Anyone but Bush".
We ALL would have voted for a ticket including Lieberman last year. Scout mentions this in his blog.
We bloggers have integrity...

Neocon Disinfo Primer
I hope you support Progressive print media such as "Mother Jones" magazine and have gotten the chance to read the Jan/Feb feature article "The Lie Factory - How the Neocons & the Office of Special Plans Pushed Disinformation and Bogus Intelligence on Iraq" an investigative piece of merit that is a real eye-opener.
Robert Dreyfuss and retired Pentagon official Karen Kwiatkowski were interviewed at Democracy Now!, although you should grab the hardcopy to get more in-depth information- there is a chart offered that sizes the Neocon information scam up and helps you to see the relationships and positions of the players. I offer the chart from the article here (In accordance with Title 17 U.S.C. Section 107, this material is distributed without profit to those who have expressed an interest in receiving the included information for research and educational purposes. Estimated Prophet has no affiliation whatsoever with the originator of this article nor is Estimated Prophet endorsed or sponsored by the originator).
Jon Stauber and Sheldon Rampton of PR Watch tell you how this and other Iraq War doctored "information" was used to make attacking and occupying Iraq palatable to the good citizens of our nation.
Remember what White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card said was the reason the push for war was held off until after Labor Day:"From a marketing point of view, you don't introduce new products in August." When you hear Bush and Company lying about the war- and getting away with it, thanks to a complicit mainstream media remember: The GOP/Neocon product is Death.
Are you buying it?
