"Christian" Lacking Christ's Teachings
Call to kill terrorists 'in the name of the Lord' sparks outcry By Greg Warner
Associated Baptist Press
JACKSON, Tenn. (ABP)--If American troops kill Osama bin Laden, a Southern Baptist ethicist insists it should be "in the name of justice," not "in the name of the Lord" as televangelist Jerry Falwell suggests.
And a prominent Texas Baptist said using God's name as motivation for killing "defames Christianity." In a televised debate on CNN, Falwell said President Bush should "blow them (the terrorists) all away in the name of the Lord."
Capturing and, if necessary, killing terrorists "is a morally legitimate exercise of military force," said David Gushee, professor of moral philosophy at Union University in Jackson, Tenn. "However, it must be recognized that in the terms of Christian moral thought, even justified wars are not to be treated as if they are being fought 'in the name of the Lord.'
I urge you to explore Theocracy Watch, a website that will give you background on the inroads that a radical Christian Right have made into our Democracy. The site is well documented and a complete eye opener.
Read Mr Falwell's quote above. Does he sound like a fellow who follows the words of Christ, the Prince of Peace, to you?
I'll be away for a few days, please send me your thoughts on the information you digest at Theocracy Watch, My email info is on the sidebar...

Electing Proof
I stand by the opinion I have gained through reading the many links I've shared that computer voting machines are untrustworthy for the tabulation of election results; with no means of actually recounting the votes cast there is no way to ensure the results offered reflect the reality of who votes were cast for. The results from the machines are easily manipulated in a number of ways. The lack of security they offer shows them to be inappropriate for the tabulation of elections..
I came out pretty hard for vote fraud yesterday; such a weighty matter needs to be decided by statistical analysis, grave indications in many counties throughout the US prove nothing but are just clues that can help one in gaining an overall picture that will help discern the truth. I feel that the anomolies presented prove the case that the e-vote machines are a detriment to our democratic processes.
My sense that voter fraud has occured is just that, a gut feeling, an opinion. We need experts to sort through the facts and figures to see if any proof exists that supports this.Bev Harris of BlackBoxVoting.org is working on this. Support her efforts.
You may or not be surprised that the spectre of vote suppression seems to be coming primarily from Republican sources. If you multi-task well, you might enjoy listening to this "This American Life" segment on the phenomena of Republican attempts to limit Democracy as you explore this wealth of links on the subject collected at Daily Kos. You can find state by state listings of stories here illustrating this alarming nationwide trend, eRiposte catalogues them nicelyDemos has a smaller collection as well...
As you see, evidence shows that Republican supporters have attempted on a large scale to keep Americans from exercising their franchise in this election. This doesn't necessarily indicate that this same party and its ilk would somehow hack voting machines made by fellow Republican partisans to up the Bush vote in light of successful Democratic leaners get out the vote efforts. Without a "smoking gun"it is unsafe to surmise such a thing. Sadly, even the e-voting machines that repeatedly indicated a vote for Mr Bush when it was Mr Kerry who the voter pressed the screen for are considered glitches. In a close race, every glitch counts.
Dave Neiwert catalogs thuggery on both sides of the political equation, although Bush supporters, as with voter suppression, seem to have cornered the market by a longshot. I would urge you to explore the article immediately under the link offered "The Rise Of Pseudo Fascism", bookmark it and give it a look when you have a chance.
I think our topic of late, possible vote fraud, along with these accounts of voter suppression endeavors should set off some alarms in our consciousness. It is clearly documented that one side did not trust the will of the people, whether or not actual vote fraud can actually be proven. One can hope that a whistleblower will step up concerning this issue if voter fraud is the case.Whatever the case, Democracy in America looks to be at risk.

Stand Up For Your Rights
Pop this mp3 on as you educate yourself: Get Up Stand Up (Don't give Up the Fight) By Bob Marley, courtesy of IM-TV, a trusted news source.
If you have the time you can peruse your way into a better overview of what looks to be massive voter fraud in the US. Turn off the TV, hug the folks you love and read this stuff out loud to them.We have to pull together, get this information out of the cybersphere and into the realm of daily living.
What Really Happened has a wealth of material concerning the election, this compendium will help you up to speed.
ATTN Global Media has some links to consider as you ponder the possibility of another stolen Bush election.
INN World Report will round out todays vote fraud enquiry linkfest, offering selections that compliment the two above, as does Christopher Lydon's Blogging of the President..
Verified Voting is a good resource on "irregularities", the group sees systemic problems with e-voting, documenting instances across the nation (use this handy map resource to investigate)but no fraud.
Bev Harris reminds us that we need to be the media- mainstream news is not touching this for the most part.
I was tipped off by a person very high up in TV that the news has been locked down tight, and there will be no TV coverage of the real problems with voting on Nov. 2. Even the journalists are pretty horrified. My source said they've also been forbidden to talk about it even on their own time, and he was calling from somewhere else. He was trying to figure out how to get the real news out on vote fraud.
She offers 5 ways to get the public thinking about the election. Be creative, we need to help lead our fellows to think.
The verdict is not yet in on the election, rife as it is with "irregularities". Use your best judgement, factcheck, weigh what you learn. Things like 22,000 votes changing in Guilford County NC sure make the electronic voting machines of all sorts suspect and inappropriate for something as important as election use, as you may have gathered from my earlier entries here- but I'm not wearing a tinfoil beanie; I'm weighing the facts as they come in and from all indications the election, as I see it, is not to be trusted. My hope is that further research will show us whether the voting irregularities" I've reported here for the last few days are due to "machine error"or they are a manifestation of Republican efforts to thwart Democracy yet again in this election, as they have been documented as doing in 2000
Support Bev Harris in her attempt to winnow her way to the truth about this issue.
An exciting time to be alive, a time when your actions and efforts really can count and roll on into the future, possibly saving our kids and theirs and on and on from machines that decide elections according to their makers wish rather than the will of the people.
Stand up for your rights.. Don't give up the fight!

More Votes than Voters? Huh?
I'd like you to explore this link that offers a wealth of information on voting "irregularities" throughout the country. If more votes are shown to be cast than voters that actually showed up to cast them it seems fair to state that the election itself is not to be trusted. The site itself offers links where the keywords are highlighted, I suggest you go there. If the information offered is true (I am posting it without factchecking, leaving that to you, the reader) it seems that Florida has election results that are not to be believed.
Collier County Voter Turnout was 127,409. 128,352 votes were cast for president. Duval County Voter Turnout was 379,257. 379,614 votes were cast for president. Glades County Voter Turnout was 3,446. 4,188 votes were cast for president. Highlands County Voter Turnout was 33,996. 41,491 votes were cast for president. Lake County Voter Turnout was 123,751. 123,938 votes were cast for president. Miami Dade County Voter Turnout was 716,574. 768,553 votes were cast for president. Okaloosa County Voter Turnout was 89,485. 89,707 votes were cast for president. Orange County Voter Turnout was 386,104. 387,752 votes were cast for president. Osceola County Voter Turnout was 63,589. 82,178 votes were cast for president. Leon County Voter Turnout was 136229. 136,314 votes were cast for president. Palm Beach County Voter Turnout was 452,061. 542,835 votes were cast for president. Volusia County Voter Turnout was 209,052. 228,358 votes were cast for president.

I'm hoping that the material I offer today is familiar to you. It really needs to be; the links I offer will give a bit of mental room for thought about the election that is outside the mainstream media gung ho for the Bush regime "mandate", a "mandate" at best of 51 percent, a nonexistant mandate on the face of it; dig deeper and we see that the mandate probably does not exist when the voting population is taken into account. There is a bunch of material out there, many of the links I offer give links of their own.i'm just posting a helpful (I hope) few. Good luck on your research.
Faun Otter offers "Analysis Of Exit Polls Vs. Supposed Ballot Counts" which highlights, as many of these links will that something is fishy with the E-vote tally. She has a good background on the Diebold Republican Party connection.
There is a bunch of exit poll number/ voting machine tabulation analysis occurring. Oddly enough it looks like the darn machines tilt exclusively to the Republican party. Go figure. I'll let you draw your own conclusions from this survey of Florida's election results- it sure looks like the Democratic "Get out the Vote" push really worked- in many counties Democratic voters dropped significantly since 2000 while Republican voters flocked to the polls in unprecedented numbers.
Here's an amazing Bush vote gain in Ohio, in one precinct in Gahanna Ohio Mr Bush recieved 4258 votes dwarfing Mr Kerry's 260, yet Gahanna has only 638 voters. This gift from the voting machines to the party of their owners was detected. How many more were not?
Why would CNN change its exit poll data between the hours of 1 and 6am to reflect the results of the election machine software?
Thom Hartmann has written an article on the possibility of vote fraud that offers this tantalizing quote:
When I spoke with Jeff Fisher this morning (Saturday, November 06, 2004), the Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida's 16th District said he was waiting for the FBI to show up. Fisher has evidence, he says, not only that the Florida election was hacked, but of who hacked it and how. And not just this year, he said, but that these same people had previously hacked the Democratic primary race in 2002 so that Jeb Bush would not have to run against Janet Reno, who presented a real threat to Jeb, but instead against Bill McBride, who Jeb beat.
It was practice for a national effort," Fisher told me.
As Greg Palast writes and as we all feel in our guts "Kerry Won"
"Hacking The Presidency" shows how easy it is to steal the vote from electronic voting machines.
Wired magazine has a piece from last March that outlines the danger of Electronic Voting. It also introduces us to Bev Harris, the motive force behind the website and book of the same name (pdf available in the sidebar here for downloading and disseminating) Black Box Voting.
BlackBoxVoting.Org is doing what it can to implement a massive Freedom of Information Act search to get to the truth of this election. The organization needs our financial help. Stop by and give all you can, both for the truth in this election and for the safety of democracy here in America for our future.
Help get the truth out. It looks as though our nation has been robbed of the one thing our leaders continuely crow about- our basic freedom that sets us apart from so much of world, as we are told. Our democratic right to vote and have the vote counted.
I realize I have offered a great deal of reading. It is all pretty important, and will add to your overview of current events as they unfold. Share links you find illuminating and helpful out; you gotta love email..
I need your help. Please email me any links you are aware of dealing with Christian Reconstructionists and Dominionists as well as the "Constitution Restoration Act of 2004". I'm striving to get up to speed on the issue of the inroads of Christian Fundamentalism on our political system and know some of you can help. Thank you, m prophet
