Please listen to Helen Caldicot on Pacifica Peacewatch, a short RealAudio streaming media piece. Think about what she has to say. Talk with folks you know...

If you listened to the Greg Palast in the link I offered yesterday you've heard the name DynCorp in relation to the office of Total Information Awareness- now see how this company is tied into the Pentagon as well. By one estimate, the Pentagon this year will spend at least $30 billion--or 8% of its overall budget, on private military companies (PMCs), even if the U.S. doesn't invade Iraq .

Here is an article from Dan Baum that tells more about DynCorp. DynCorp is involved with everything from coca eradication flights to installing new PCs for the FBI, servicing military helicopters, making smallpox and anthrax vaccines. You may have heard the company's name mentioned in a case of its' worker's involved in the sex trade in Bosnia. Now I hope you clicked on the Baum article before looking into this story of slavery, underage girls and the UN.

Poster lifted from Brief Intelligence , yet another really good weblog.

I'll get to adding some more really well done blogs on the sidebar...

Listen to these RealAudio RadioNation clips. First Jonathan Schell speaking about US Atomic weapon use policy and how it has changed under the present administration; including their possible use in Iraq. Next Dilip Hiro on Iraq.
