I'm beat and it's late. It has been nice to check out some of my favorite haunts in blogtopia (thanx skippy) after a 15 day compu-fast...
Stop by thousand yard glare for some good news links having to do with media consolidation; not to mention a piece about tv for cats. Honest.
Check out Democratic Veteran's entry about the one plane allowed to fly on September 13 2001 - no it wasn't military, at least not ours... ( read the link he offers!) Stroll through my blogroll, a bunch of excellent posts, too many to mention at so late an hour. Byte Back, Hegemoney, Seeing the Forest.... sharing facts, information, a cornerstone of Democracy. Glad to be here, and in such good company.
Cyndy, best to you, your family and especially your Mom.

OK this may not be an instance of governance but it is manufacturing consent from the governed: Blah3 ( there are a bunch of great postings there) mentioned CNN as a source for an interview with Jessica Lynch's family:
When asked about his daughter's memory, Greg Lynch said it "is as good as it was when she was home. She can still remember everything." But, he said, the family has not pressed her for details.
I'm guessing you are aware of the discrepancies between the Government version ( Fought till out of ammo, shot, stabbed, abused by her captors and perilously rescued) and the civilian account (hurt in a vehicle accident, cared for by an Iraqi Hospital staff, spirited away in a big military production, sans enemy combatants)
